Blog tour: Starting Out by JE Rowney*

'Violet thought midwifery training was tough, but now she has to step out onto the ward as a newly qualified midwife. She’s standing on the edge of her new life, but taking the leap is harder than she ever expected.

Living on her own for the first time, while best friend Zoe starts to build a future with soon-to-be-husband Luke, everything is changing for Violet.

Can Violet adapt and adjust, or will anxiety get the better of her?'

So we are back with now newly qualified midwife Violet. This book focuses on Violet starting her new role as a newly qualified Midwife. The story is told over 18 chapter, and don’t worry if you haven’t read the books regarding Violet’s time as a student because within the first chapter this book catches the reader up.

This book also brings in the others in the sense that Violet talks about the past. One thing that runs through the book is Violets battle with her anxiety. This fact really connects the books as much as Violet does. Throughout this readers get to see how her anxiety changes and how Violet handles it now.

Let me tell you a little bit more about the Author J.E.Rowney. She spent several years in the cold Yorkshire hills, which adds the flavour of the Moorland countryside into her work. She currently lives in Dorset, where the sun and sea are slowly creeping in as influences. Her first novel 'Charcoal' was published in 2012, to wild critical acclaim becoming a bestselling novel across the whole of Amazon within days of its release. Ms Rowney was recently awarded the Dinesh Allirajah Writing Prize 202 and her third novel 'Ghosted' was released in January 2020 and quickly becoming a bestseller. Ms Rowney spends a lot of her time writing in coffee shops, so if you happen to see her don't forget to say hello. Ms Rowney says ' I always dreamed of being a writer, until I realised that I was. Then I started to write'.  You can find more about JE Rowney on her website jerowney.com or follow @jerowneywriter on social media.

Overall I completely adored this book. Although readers beware this one did have me tearing up a little. So have tissues at the ready because your emotions will be getting involved. You can get your copy HERE

Blog Tour: Spring On Rendezvous Lane by Angela Britnell*

'Can even the most seasoned traveller find a home on Rendezvous Lane?
‘Community spirit’ is not a phrase in travel junkie Taran Rossi’s vocabulary. As a former ‘third culture kid’ and now spicy street food connoisseur and social media influencer, he’s never really stayed in one place long enough to feel part of a community. And that’s just the way he likes it.
But a springtime stint house sitting for his grandmother on Rendezvous Lane in East Nashville could lead to a long overdue wake-up call. With the help of single mum Sandy Warner and her young son Chip, can Taran come to understand that sometimes it’s not about the place – it’s about the people?'

This is the story of Taran and Sandy and is told over the course of 46 Chapters. Readers will enjoy this slow burn romance, which really goes into detail. Readers are able to watch this pair go from strangers to something else. This is especially amazing as the first chapter includes Taran and Sandy's first meeting.

However these two characters could not be more different, even though they have had similar upbringings. Sandy wants to stay in one place and provide a stable home for her adorable son Chip. Meanwhile Taran has built his life around his love of travelling and being on the go. These differences mean that the path these two take is not always clear.

This book is perfect for people who love a slow burn romance. This story really allows the reader to see every aspect of this romance as it appears. It is great as there is not just two people in this relationship that need to be considered. You also need to consider Sandy's Chip.

Now let me tell you about the Author Angela Britnell,  who grew up in Cornwall England and returns frequently from her new home in Nashville Tennessee. These visits consist of seeing family and friends, drinking tea and eating far too many Cornish pasties.  A lifelong love of reading turned into a passion for writing contemporary romance and her novels are usually set in the many places she's visited or lived on her extensive travels. Thanks to over three decades of marriage to her wonderful American husband she is a huge fan of transatlantic romance. This is one of the reasons she always makes sure her characters get their own happy-ever-after. Angela is a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association. Her first novel called 'Truth and Consequence' was published in 2006 and she's now had over 30 novels published internationally as well as several short stories in women's magazines. If you want to find out more about what Angela gets up to (Fair warning this may include references to wine, dark chocolate, Poldark and the hunky Aidan Turner) check out her website or follow her on facebook, twitter and on instagram as Angel Golley Britnell.

Overall this book is engaging and addicting from the moment you pick it up to the moment you put it down. Some readers may find it hard to get stuck into but the moment you do, you won't put it down until you have finished it. You can get your copy HERE.

'Successful Manhattan accountant Stacy Brown is shocked when her almost perfect life unexpectedly crumbles around her. Blindsided by her husband when he serves her with divorce papers and tossed aside by the women she considered her best friends, devastation and depression hit her hard. But when her mother sends her an old photograph of her and two childhood friends, Candace and Olivia, it fuels a desire in Stacy to find that person she once was. What starts as a chance to reconnect turns into an unforgettable road trip back to her childhood home and an encounter with a man from her past.
Gavin Kingsley, son of Stacy's old piano teacher and former annoying boy next door, sparks something in Stacy that she hasn't felt in a long time…maybe never? Despite her hesitation to jump into a relationship, Stacy can't help being drawn to him as she and her girlfriends take a journey of self-discovery, laughs, tears, and hysterical moments.

The series is set around three friends Stacy, Olivia and CJ/Candace. You meet all three ladies in this book and readers will be left wanting the other books in the series.

The story chucks readers in at the deep end from the beginning, a factor which really helps to draw them in getting them addicted. The character interactions between the three friends really helps draw the readers in. The interactions are witty and relatable. Readers will find themselves remembering situations they have been in that are similar.

There are moments spread throughout the book that will leave readers laughing. No reader will be able to read the entire book without laughing. The funny moments are even funnier, as they are all very relatable. The story is completely addictive and will draw readers in and not let them go until they have finished.

Blog Tour: Strictly On Ice by Helen Buckley*

'When falling in love comes with the risk of falling flat on your face ...
Former Olympic skating champion Katie Saunders is well known for her ‘ice queen’ persona in the press. On the face of it, perhaps Katie should have forgiven her former skating partner and ex-boyfriend, Alex Michaelson, for the accident that shattered both her ankle and their Olympic dreams – but she just can’t seem to let it go.
When Katie reluctantly agrees to take part in a new TV skating show, it’s only because she’s desperate for cash. What she didn’t count on is the drama – not only is she partnered up with infamous love rat rugby player Jamie Welsh, but one of the judges is none other than Alex Michaelson himself.
As the show progresses, will Katie be shown the hard way, once again, that romance on the ice should remain strictly off-limits?'

This is the story of Katie and is told over 24 Chapters. Now there two men mentioned within Katie's story and they are Alex and Jamie. Now both of these men are entwined in Katie's story in different ways. Both men are mentioned throughout the book.

Now throughout this book the story journey's from present to past, as the characters all have a history. This history is explored throughout this book and a warning needs to be given as the topic of abuse is evident in this history. The past needs explaining not only for the reader but also to allow the characters to overcome their past.

The book is intriguing and engaging for it's readers as hints of this past are given before you are taken for the first time. This book also allows readers to see a different side to these shows, giving them an insight that is interesting. Especially if you like these kind of shows.

Now let me tell you about the Author Helen Buckley, who lives in Bedfordshire with her husband and two sons. Helen started off working in the charity sector both in the UK and abroad. She then turned her hand to writing and her first novel, Star in the Shadows, got published in 2019. Helen writes any moment she can, enthralled by stories of fame, romance and happy ever afters. Apart from her addiction to writing and enjoying soft play with her sons, she is an avid readers, action-movie fan and chocoholic.

Overall this story really grips its reader and keeps them guessing, especially when it comes to the ending. The book is addictive and keeps the reader attached wanting to know more and see how the story plays out. One thing is for sure, I will be keeping an eye out for more by this Author in the future.
