Blog Tour: The Return of Her Lost Knight by Melissa Oliver*

'Her second chance

With her lost love….

To avoid a forced marriage, Lady Gwenllian plans to escape to a convent. She couldn’t possibly honour another when her heart still belongs to Ralph de Kinnerton, the man she had to betray to save his life – only to hear of his death shortly after. So how is it possible he’s here at this Knight’s tournament? Now, the pull of their unfinished past forces Gwen to question the choice she’d made for her future…'

This is the third book int he Notorious Knights series and focuses on Lady Gwenlilan and Ralph. Their story is told over 23 Chapters and is full of secrets that are slowly revealed to the reader. Although waiting for some of these secrets to be revealed can be exciting, as readers will wait with baited breaths as to what they are.

From the moment the readers meet these two character they will be intrigued by them as well as their story. Their story is full of miscommunication and there two sides of the same shared history. The book focuses a lot on the will they/ wont they sort it out and move past the above mentioned history.

One of the many brilliant things about this book is the fact that the couples that are in the first two books of this series are mentioned. This is brilliant for readers who are following the series as it gives them a chance to catch up with the other couples and see how there stories are progressing.

Now let me tell you about the Author Melissa Oliver, who is from south-west London where she writes her historical romance novels. Melissa lives with her husband and daughters, who share her passion for decrepit, old castles, palaces and all things historical. Melissa is the Winner of The Romantic Novelist Association's Joan Hessayon Award for new writers 2020. This was for her debut novel, the first book in the Notorious Knight's series called The Rebel Heiress and the Knight. If she is not writing Melissa loves to travel, paint as well as visit Museums and Art Gallerys.

Overall this is a brilliant addition to this series. It is well written, intriguing and keeps the readers guessing until the end. The Author has the ability to make the reader feel like they are in the story watching it play out in front of them. Readers will love learning about Knights as well as the tournament. Blog Tour: A Second-Hand Husband by Claire Calman*

'Natalie and Carl are newlyweds, but the honeymoon period is over already. Carl has just announced he has bought their first home at auction without telling Natalie where it is, never mind showing her a picture of it.

Natalie is horrified to discover that the dream home is in Little Wyford, mere minutes away from Carl’s ex-wife Antonia. And to make matters worse, Antonia’s palatial country mansion has a fully-functioning roof (and a heated swimming pool!), unlike the ramshackle cottage Carl has bought for them…
Antonia is Little Wyford’s Queen Bee, mistress of the book club, organiser of the Christmas Fair and leader of the ladies-who-lunch. No matter how hard she tries, Natalie just doesn’t fit in, and when Antonia insists on referring to Carl as ‘Our Husband’, Natalie’s dreams of happily-ever-after take another nose dive.
Second-hand furniture has much to recommend it, especially when doing up a country cottage, second-hand clothes can be ever-so chic, but second-hand husbands are proving to be a very bad idea indeed… Can Natalie ever escape the label of Wife Number Two or is she destined to share her husband forever?'
This is the story of Carl and Natalie, whose story involves some ups as well as downs. The story is told over 45 Chapters, which seem to fly by when you read it. One minute you are on Chapter 10 then the next time you look you have read 8 or more chapters.
Now from the very beginning of this story it is intriguing and captivates the reader. Part of the intriguing factor can be put down to the very different characters that appear throughout this story. Take Carl and Natalie, these two are quite opposite in their personalities causing their interactions to be absolutely captivating.
The character interactions throughout the book are relatable as well as funny. Whether Natalie is talking to her Sister, her husband or even the ex-wife. All these interactions grip the reader and makes them more intrigued in the story. Readers start to question how things will end up but also how Natalie will solve her issues.
One of the great things about this book is that not everything is shown as perfect. Not the conversations, not the relationships and not the dream house. These moments when true reality is seen makes the book more relatable. Which just means that readers emotions will get involved as they can picture themselves as Natalie.
Now let me tell you about the Author Claire Calman, a writer and broadcaster known for her novels that combine wit and pathos, including the bestseller Love is a Four-Letter Word. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour and Loose Ends. Her first book for Boldwood was published in June 2020.

Overall this book is well written and keeps readers on there toes. Though tissues at the ready as readers will either be sad crying, happy crying or crying with laughter. All of which leave you with the urge to find other works by the Author. You can get your copy HERE

Blog Tour: Blue Hawaiian by Carla Luna*

'The first rule of serving as the maid of honor at your perfect sister’s destination wedding? No mistakes. The second rule? No drama.
For Jess Chavez, a week in Maui is hardly a dream vacation—not when her sister expects her to be the perfect maid of honor. Not only does Jess have to fake perfection, but she can’t let anyone know she’s unemployed and barely scraping by. Above all, she needs to steer clear of Connor Blackwood, the sexy groomsman who broke her heart five years ago.
A family wedding offers Connor the ideal opportunity to convince everyone he’s no longer an irresponsible playboy. If they see he’s changed, they might support his decision to leave the family winery and strike out on his own. With so much at stake, the last thing he needs is an alluring distraction like Jess.
When Jess and Connor end up together, exploring the island’s lush, tropical beauty, the sparks between them become impossible to ignore. Throwing caution to the wind, they decide to make their own rules.
Five days of passion. No strings. No tears. No promises.
What could possibly go wrong?'

So this is the story of Jess and Connor, the first one in a new series called 'Blackwood Cellar' and let's say this based on this book alone I can't wait to read the rest of the series! The story is told over 39 Chapters, which may seem like a lot but they soon fly by.

Jess and Connor have so much history between them that it really grips readers interests. Readers will want to know every single detail of their long history. All the history is explored is this book from the moment they met to the last time these two people spoke.

Now not only is there a lot of shared history in this book, the story also contains its fair share of secrets. Secrets that as we all know must come out and come out they do. The author makes the reader wait while the secrets build, holding on until they truth is revealed. The out come of the truth still grips the reader and holds their attention.

Now this is one story that really will hold the readers attention from the moment they start, right up until they have read every last word. One thing that helps keep reader reading is that the story itself is utterly addictive. Watching Jess and Connor navigate this gorgeous setting while these 'sparks' continue to make themselves known.

Speaking of gorgeous setting, as the title mentions the majority of the story is set within the gorgeous Hawaiian Islands. The author really put in detail when they mention the backdrop of the story as well as the tropical beauty of the place. The story will leave readers jealous that they are not sat on a Hawaiian beach while reading this story.

Now let me tell you about the Author Carla Luna, who writes contemporary romance with a dollop of humor and a pinch of spice. She is a former archaeologist, who still dreams of travelling to far-off places and she channels that wanderlust into the setting of her stories. When Carla isn't writing, she works in a spice emporium where she gets paid to discuss food and share her favorite recipes. Her passions include Broadway musicals, baking, whimsical office supplies and pop culture podcasts. Though she has roots in Los Angeles and Victoria, B.C., she currently resides in Wisconsin with her family and her spoiled Siberian cat.

Overall this book is well written and perfect for romance lovers. Set in the gorgeous Hawaiian islands it is full of fun and romance. Though readers beware your emotions may become involved, so tissues at the ready. They may be sad tears or happy tears but either way, readers will love this escape. You can get your copy HERE.

This is the story of Freya, Zander and Aaron. Although if we are being honest this is Freya's journey. The story is told over the course of 31 Chapters and book 5 in 'A Romantic Escape' series. The book is very relatable right from the very beginning.
From the very beginning of this story where Freya finds her dream job opportunity, the story intrigues the reader. Ensuring that they continue to read this story until they reach the very end. Although in the name of honesty this reader did find it hard to get truely stuck in until the chapters hit double digits. However the moment those chapter numbers hit double digits, this reader couldn't put it down.
Now you can't talk about this book without mentioning the dreamy location of the Maldives. The descriptions given by this author about this idyllic location means that readers will be able to visualize the locations. To the point that they could almost believe they were on the beach with Freya.

Blog Tour: The Viking Chief's Marriage Alliance by Lucy Morris*

'A challenging wife

For a warrior Viking

When Thorstein Bergson rescues a beautiful woman from a storm-tossed long-ship he little expects to broker a powerful marriage alliance with her. This high-status ice queen is not the comfortable wife this warrior chief is seeking. But maybe the bitter-sweet pain in Gyda’s eyes hides another woman beneath? The one he tasted that first night when she’d kissed him with such pent-up longing…?'

This is the story of Gyda and Thorstein, which is told over 26 Chapters ( + Prologue & Epilogue). The story is intriguing from the start as well as well written.  The story can be emotional to readers, so tissues at the ready. There are moments throughout this book that could make those tissues necessary.

This book can also be educational to readers when it comes to Vikings as well as that time period. This reader was intrigued enough to be left wanting to know more about the Vikings and their way. This intrigue adds a degree of addictiveness to the story. As readers will want to continue in order to learn more as well as see where the story will lead.

Thorstein and Gyda have very different opinions on life that are based on their past. This makes for an interesting read. Not only that but their pasts are revealed a puzzle piece at a time. Meaning readers will want to keep reading learning all about their past and get the full story. Now although no one will call it love at first sight for these two, they may call it lust at first sight.

Blog Tour: Reawakened by Rachael Stewart*

'She’s reawakening

His desire!

My renowned PR skills have been called upon to save business owner Olivia Carmel from her hedonistic ways. But soon she is reawakening my darkest desires…showing me how well we work together in the bedroom. I’m feeling more than lust, but Oliva refuses to be tied to anyone, much less a man sixteen years her junior. But I’m done playing it safe. Can I tempt her take a chance on me?'

This is the story of Olivia and Valentine, which is told over the course of 15 Chapters (+Epilogue). This story is intriguing and jumps straight into the steamy scenes that Rachael is really an expert at writing.

Olivia and Valentine are too very different characters. Olivia's past makes her want to live more in the moment and do more. Where as Valentine's past makes him want to be more cautious. These characters are very much opposites in their mind set.

A sense of anticipation builds throughout this book for those steamy scenes. Though just enough is given to keep the reader hooked and hanging on for those steamy scenes. What helps this anticipation is the amazing chemistry between the main characters. Readers will wait with bated breath for the first sexy scene in this book. Rachael does not disappoint when it arrives, though patience is key.

So let me tell you about the Author Rachael Stewart, she adores conjuring up stories for both Mills & Boon and Deep Desires Press. The books vary from heartwarmingly romantic to wildly erotic. Rachael is living her own dream of being a full time writer, even though her degree was in Business Studies and she spent many years in the corporate world. Originally from Wales, Rachael now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children. When she isn't wrapped up in her children, you can find her glued to her laptop or enjoying the great outdoors seeking inspiration.

Overall this completely captivating, even when I finished this book I was unable to stop thinking about it. This book took me over, I didn't want to put this book down. More than that this book would leave me alone. If I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it. This is a must read for any fan of Rachael Stewart. You can get your copy HERE.
