Blog Tour: Always on my Mind by Beth Moran*

'When Jessie left home at eighteen, she swore she’d never go back. But when life takes a turn for the complicated, she’s forced to move in with her twin, Isaac, and his two best friends. To her dismay, one of these is Elliot, the boy Jessie once loved, until his life was changed forever by a terrible accident that Jessie still blames herself for.

Cohabiting with three alarmingly unhouse-trained males was not in Jessie’s life plan so when Isaac, Elliot and Arthur offer her a generous rent discount if she’ll help them with their ‘Boys to Men Project’, designed to end years of disastrous dating, she reluctantly accepts the challenge.

As Jessie embraces the comfort of being home, revelling in her new job at her parents’ day centre full of people determined to grow old disgracefully, she realises her housemates aren’t the only ones needing to make some changes. And maybe, if she can finally forgive herself for Elliot’s accident, she can start to look forward to a future, with or without him by her side.'

This is the story of Jessie and it is told over the course of 40 Chapters plus a prologue. Now this may seem like a long book, but when you get invested in this story those chapters soon fly by!

This book is easy to get stuck into and really grips the reader right from the very start. From learning about Jessie when she was younger to finding out how she came to be in her current situation.

Jessie on her own is a brilliant character and is trying to move on from a childhood accident she believes is her fault. Add in her roommates that include her twin brother, his best friend (aka who she once loved), and the funeral director you get an interesting mix of characters in one story.

When it comes to the background characters it is hard for readers not to fall in love with them and I am not talking about in a romantic sense. From the 'Outlaws' to the 'Harriers' this book is full of interesting characters that readers will adore.

Now let me tell you about the Author Beth Moran, who is an author of four novels that includes the bestselling Christmas Every day. She is regularly features on BBC Radio Nottingham and is a trustee of the national women's network Free Range Chicks. Beth lives on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest.

Overall this was a heart warming read that readers will love. This is a Brothers best friend, young love, redemption story that is sure to delight the readers. Whether they are already a fan of Beth's or not. You can get your copy HERE.

Blog Tour: An (Un) Romantic Comedy by Phoebe MacLeod*

Poppy is a therapist. You’d think her parents would be proud. But Poppy is the type of therapist that makes her mother cringe - she helps people with their, ahem, bedroom problems…

Normally Poppy deals with her difficult family - two parents, one brother, a couple of sisters and an assortment of nieces and nephews - by keeping at least a County or two between them. But with her little sister about to get married there’s no avoiding the week-long family holiday in Cornwall.

The trip was always going to be a catastrophe, but Poppy never imagined how much her family needed her professional skills… Nor did she expect to meet a sexy surfer on what was supposed to be the most unromantic holiday ever.

Can a nightmare holiday lead to the love of a lifetime?’

This is the story of Poppy and it is told over the course of 32 Chapters. This story is easy to get into and grabs the readers attention from the moment they begin. This story also jumps straight into one of the many funny parts of the book. The book itself is full of funny sections that will keep the reader laughing.

Poppy is the black sheep of her family and it doesn't help when her family don't understand. Add in her younger sisters wedding where Poppy gets to spend a week in Cornwall with said family while also meeting the grooms family. However as the reader delves deeper into this book they discover that even  though her family don't understand her. Poppy's family need her more than they think.

When you look at the characters within this book you get to see that they are flawed and complex characters but one of my favourite things is that the woman have something in common. They are all strong and independent which is great to see in a book.

Now let me tell you about the Author Phoebe MacLeod, who is the author of several popular laugh-out-loud romantic comedies. Her books are mainly set in her home county of Kent and her first new title for Boldwood was published in November 2022.They will also be republishing her existing titles from August this year.

Overall this book will leave readers laughing and enjoying every moment they spend reading. You can get your copy HERE.

Review: Billionaire's Island Temptation by Rachael Stewart*

'A summer fling or something more?

In this Billionaires for the Rose Sisters story, Jessie Rose is shocked by the chemistry she feels when she meets billionaire Joel in Mustique. She’s come looking for escape, and brooding Joel’s not looking for anything permanent, but they can’t deny their fling is dangerously close to being a temptation they might not be able to walk away from…'

This is the story of Jessie and Joel which is told over the course of 17 chapters. Their story is the first book in Rachael’s brand new duet ‘Billionaires for the Rose Sisters’. This book is easy to get stuck into and really grabs the readers attention.

From the moment Jessie and Joel meet readers instantly get to see the hit of underlying chemistry even before these two start talking. This chemistry just becomes more pronounced as the book goes on. These characters are easy to fall in love with even before you discover more about them.

Joel’s past includes a lost love that he is carrying guilt around over, even if he doesn’t necessarily have anything to be guilty about. Well that is this readers opinion. On the other hand you have Jessie who is going through a more recent suit of grief with thee added bonus of anxiety as well. Rachael rally digs deep when she gives the the readers details about what these characters are currently dealing with.

The background characters of this book included Jessie’s sister Hannah and Joel’s friend Branden. It just so happens that Branden and Hannah work together and readers get the hint that something is going on. I think we have found the main couple for book two.

Throughout the book the sexual chemistry between the main characters is ever present and sizzling away under the service. Within this book Rachael somehow gives us a team scene that we love her for but without taking away from the ‘True Love’ genre.

Overall i loved this book as well as the characters that you get to meet. It is a great read that is easy for readers to get stuck into. This book left me excited for the second part of the duet. It also left me shocked because I didn’t realise that “You’re my Arthur” could be o romantics. You can get your copy HERE
