Review: Reluctant Bride's Baby Bombshell by Rachael Stewart*

'UNWILLING BRIDE,

UNEXPECTED BABY!

In this One Year to Wed story, returning to her family’s Outback homestead, Eve feels like a fish out of water. She’s only in town to contest the ridiculous terms of her inheritance. Get married? As if! Finding a distraction in the arms of gorgeous stranger Nate is one thing. Discovering he’s the lawyer enforcing her father’s will is another… And the biggest bombshell of all is that their one night has had consequences!'

This is the second book in a brand new series called 'A Year to Wed' which is about four sisters in Australia's outback who have a year to get married in order to keep their father's land in their family. Though that is the simplified version. This series is a collaboration between Ally Blake, Rachael Stewart, Kandy Shephard and Michelle Douglas. This review however is all about Rachael Stewarts book, which is book number 2 in the series.

This book focuses on Evelyn or Eve, who has been estranged from her sisters in Australia for over 10 years. Eve's book is made up of 12 Chapters as well as a prologue and epilogue. Eve is an independent career woman who believes love and relationship longevity don't exist. Eve has been living in England but is heading back to Australia to help her sisters try and get out of the condition in their fathers will.

In comes our male lead Nate, who couldn't be more different. Nate is a lawyer from Sydney who always wanted to settle down in his home town. He is also tatted, rides a motorcycle and completely gorgeous, with that combination was Eve really suppose to resist him?

The moment these two meet they instantly have chemistry, but end up going separate ways due to their opposite views on relationships. But as fate would have it they would not be separate for long.

Now these two main characters may have grown up in the same small town and both dealing with different family issues, but that is very much where the similarities end. Throughout this story in Nate's point of view readers will see how this man falls for Eve more and more after every interaction. They will also see how Eve is really trying her best not to fall for this man.

Now Eve is not the only sister we meet in this book. You also meet Rose (the eldest) as well as Matilda and Ana. Now I have to be honest Rose is the only sister who shows up in the majority of this story but that is because the whole story is set at the family home.

Overall I really enjoyed this story and watching as Eve and Nate fell for each other and how they dealt with the unexpected pregnancy. Although this book is the second book in this series, rest assured you do not need to read the series in order to read this book. However I personally will be buying books 1,3 and 4 because I need to know how those stories play out. You can get your copy of this book HERE

Review: Pinot Promises by Fancy Roberts*

'Will they become partners in wine…or just another pour decision?

Maggie Moore is many things—creative, caring, throws an excellent party—but cautious isn’t one of them. Juggling her new event planning business after her picket-fence dreams fall apart, the last thing Maggie needs is to let her impetuous heart be in charge. Especially when it’s blindsided by Sunshine Cellars resident grump and his sassy daughter.

Kel Adams is as skilled at bottling up his emotions as he is a pinot. Running his best friend’s family winery wasn’t his life’s dream, but Sunshine Cellars is the perfect place to forget his former job and the picture-perfect family he almost had. Instead, he is determined to focus on the only things that matter—his daughter Olive and the vineyard.

But when Kel and Maggie keep crossing paths, he can’t resist her sparkling charm and rosé-colored view of life. Maggie is intrigued by Kel’s complex notes and the soft heart he hides behind his gruff exterior. Opposites may attract, but will their budding relationship turn into sour grapes, or a delicious red blend?

Pinot Promises is book 1 in the Sunshine Cellars series. This single-dad, opposites attract, steamy rom-com can be read with or without your favorite glass of wine. Sunshine Cellars features small town vibes in the big city, heroines you’d want to have brunch with, and cameos from your Mailbox, Inc. favorites!'

This is the first book in Fancy's brand new series called 'Sunshine Cellars' and if this book is anything to go by, than I for one can't wait to read the rest of this series. This first installment is gripping and a great grumpy secret cinnamon roll story, with the added bonus of no third act break up scene.

This story consists of 23 Chapters plus an epilogue and tells the story of Maggie and Kel. Though with the amount of background characters you are introduced to, reader are sure to fall in love with everyone they meet in this story. As well as a few familiar faces from the Mailbox Inc series.

Now Maggie is an event planner, who also seem to court problems (according to her family) I just think she seems to have some bad luck. Maggie is also reeling from a few things that happened in her personal life that takes time. Whereas our male lead Kel, is the complete opposite of Maggie. He is a single dad to a gorgeous little girl and is working on a vineyard. He is a grumpy character but very much a secret cinnamon roll.

From the beginning of there story these two characters are attracted to each other, even if one needs saving and the other seems to be saving everyone. As with many romance's communication between the main characters is not brilliant but its more from the characters personalities than any miscommunication. Maggie is an oversharer and would talk anyone's ear off, whereas Kel wants to talk but he doesn't know how to start the conversation.

Now there is a few steamy scenes to note within this book and provide the reader with enough steamy to keep them very satisfied. There are also hints of other scenes, but those are either interrupted (not in the way you think) or mentioned the morning after. So it is not steamy all the time but enough to keep the reader happy.

Overall I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes. This reader has an idea of who might be the focus of the next book but will be waiting patiently for the announcement of book two. Overall an easy read that was enjoyed immensely.

Review: Lighting The Lamp by Lasairiona McMaster*

'The night she’ll never forget is the night he can’t remember.

Tori
How dare he act like we’ve never met?
I thought we connected, but after a steamy one night stand, the hockey hot shot ghosted me, leaving me with nothing but wounded pride and two pink lines on a stick. And not the hockey kind.
Well, not this time, bud. You fooled me once, and I’m never giving you a second chance to fool me again.
We don’t need you.

Raffi
She’s not a forgettable woman, so why does she insist she knows me?
One look at her son and it hits me like a slap shot to the chest. The resemblance is undeniable.
How can I convince the mother of my child to let me be part of their lives, when I don’t even remember her?'

This is book 4 in the 'Cedar Rapids Racoons' Series by Lasairiona and I don't know how she does it but she makes me fall in love with this Ice Hockey team more and more with every book she releases. This time we meet up with Tori and Raffi, if you have read the rest of the series you will remember that we first met Tori in Ares and Eloise book 'Pulling the Goalie'.

Tori is Eloise's bestie and is a single mum who is also a PCOS warrior. I love that Lasairiona not only mentioned that Tori is a fellow cyster but also went into more detail. This is special as I have only read one other book that mentions PCOS and they did not go into as much detail as this one. I love this fact because PCOS is one of those conditions that does not get talked about alot, especially in romance books. Tori is also the kind of female main character that knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid of asking for it, especially when it comes to the bedroom.

Raffi is our badass hockey player who takes quite a few hits when it comes to being on the ice. Though one could say he has taken one too many when he forgets about the girl he had a one night stand with even though that was her choice. So imagine the shock he gets when he is attracted to her when sees her after this and does not get a stellar reaction.

Although this book is part of the Cedar Rapid Racoon series, this does not mean that you have had to read the entire series to enjoy this book. Although please do not blame me if you end up buying the rest of the series once you finish the book.

One thing I absolutely adore about Lasairiona's books is that you will find some older characters (from previous book/series) as well as upcoming characters from books that have not been released yet. This makes me happy on two different levels, one I love that I get to see the characters from previous series, as it feels like their story didn't end since they popped up in this book. A feeling I personally love and two seeing characters interact like the other De La Pena siblings, makes me excited and builds the anticipation for their story which is yet to come.

Overall I loved this book and loved watching Raffi and Tori get their second chance at not only romance but also being a family. The no third act break up scene is brilliant and love that you get the full story without that bit of miscommunication or issue that can sometimes be really annoying. Definitely check out this book but be aware that you may end up checking out all of Lasairiona's other works as well. This book is released on February 1st and you can get your copy HERE.
