Blog Tour: It's Not PMS, It's You by Rich Amooi*

'Ruth “Ruthless” Harper is on the verge of becoming managing partner at her all-male consulting firm and she won’t let anything stand in her way. That includes men, relationships, and that dreaded F word, FEELINGS—distractions she eliminated long ago.

After the worst day ever (a near-death experience and a public wedgie, for starters), Ruth realizes she doesn’t want to live and die alone. She puts together a business plan to find the perfect man and dives head first into the murky online dating pool. All she wants is a high-powered executive who understands how important her career is. If only it were that easy.

Problem is most men are intimidated by Ruth’s confidence and shocked by her bluntness. The exception being her landscape designer, Nick, whose cool demeanor and unsolicited dating advice are driving her nuts. He’s the antithesis of the business-oriented man Ruth envisions for herself, so why do all signs keep pointing back to him?'

Ruth is the ultimate girl boss in my eyes. I mean she is confident, career focused and goes after what she wants. Ruth also will not let any man tell her what to do. In comes Nick, who sounds utterly gorgeous who isn't a fan of the career women.

The characters within this book are so relatable and engaging to the point that you can easily fall in love with them. They also have some amazing chemistry that they both try and fight. Between the two personalities and the chemistry the laughs are definitely guaranteed from the beginning. I'm talking laugh out loud funny!

Let's tell you a little bit about the Author Rich Amooi. A former Radio personality and DJ who now writes romantic comedies full time in San Diego. Rich believes in public displays of affection, silliness, infinte possibilities, donuts, gratitude, laughter and happily ever after. He is happily married to a kiss monster imported from Spain.

After reading the first two chapters of this book I knew I would love it, and I wasn't wrong. This is the kind of book that you will find easy to get stuck into. I mean it is so easy to get stuck into this book that you soon find yourself finishing the entire book. This book is a romantic comedy, and I could see it being a hit if it was a movie. You can get your copy HERE.

Blog Tour: Magic Under The Mistletoe by Lucy Coleman*

'Christmas and romance are in the air...

It's December 23rd and while everyone else is rushing home for the holidays, workaholic Leesa Oliver is dreading switching on her out-of-office for the festive season. And it seems her equally driven boss, Cary Anderson, isn't relishing spending Christmas at his family's country estate either.
So together, they draft an unexpected Christmas contract: They'll spend half of the holidays with each other's families, pretending to be a couple. Leesa knows the insufferably good-looking Cary will make her Christmas more bearable, but what happens after the last of the mince pies have been eaten...?
Leesa signed off on a sensible business agreement, but somewhere, amongst the fairy lights and carols something seems to have changed... It seems there might just be some magic under the mistletoe this Christmas!'

Leesa and Cary are the main characters of the story and are so similar and completely different all at the same time. I mean Leesa can handles matters of the head with ease but can sometimes struggle when it comes to matters of the heart, Cary is the same. Reading about their relationship within this book, its nice to see how they develop throughout the story.

I have never read place descriptions like I have in this book. The descriptions are so detailed that you can clearly picture all of the locations with ease, I would personally love to visit. The details are not lacking in this book and the book is better with them. Time can be passed quickly within this book, several months going by between chapters. However it is done in such a way that adds to the book instead of taking away and you don't feel like you have missed anything.

Let's tell you a little bit about the Author behind this book Lucy Coleman. Lucy Coleman is actually the pen name for Linn B Halton, she went from interior designer to author, she has written more than a dozen novels. She is excited as she writes for both Aria Fiction (Head of Zeus) and Harper Impulse (Haper Collins), she is represented by Kataria Literary Agency. When she isn't working you can find her upcycling furniture, spending time with her family or working in the garden. Linn has won the 2013 UK Festival of Romance: Innovation in Romantic Fiction awards, her novels have been short-listed in the UK's Festival of Romance and the eFestival of Words Book Awards. She lives in Coed Duon within the Welsh Valleys with her 'rock' Lawrence and Bengal cat Ziggy. She admits that she is an eternal romantic. She writes feelgood, uplifting novels about life, love and relationships and is a member of the Romantic Novelists Association and the Society of Authors.

My final thoughts on this book are that it is a great read and very well written. It definitely gets you in the mood for the upcoming festive season without being a Christmas read. Meaning you can read this lovely book at any point during the year.  I will admit that I did find it hard to get stuck into this book at first. But then suddenly somewhere around Chapter 20  I was addicted, to the point that I finished it that night. You can get your copy HERE.

In addition to this blog tour there is also a Giveaway, where you could be in with the chance to win a signed paperback copy of Snowflakes over Holly Cove and Christmas Pamper Pack. Blog Tour: Lucy Mathers Goes Back To Work by Julie Butterfield*

'Lucy Mathers was once the golden girl of Simcock & Bright. Four years later, she’s a stay at home mum with two adorable children, has swapped her Louboutins for rabbit slippers and spends her day making crustless sandwiches and colour co-ordinated lunches instead of signing up high profile clients.

When her husband is suddenly made redundant, there is panic in the Mathers’ household. With a mortgage the size of the national debt and a credit card balance that’s in danger of toppling, Lucy reluctantly decides she must return to work. So she digs out her old power suits from the back of the wardrobe and leaves Will to become a house husband. But sitting in Lucy’s old office is Grant Cassidy, suave, handsome and ruthless and with no intention of letting Lucy walk back into the number one job.
At home, despite his breezy declaration that swapping boardroom battles for toddler groups would be a doddle, Will’s belief that parental issues could be solved with forward planning and a spread sheet soon falls by the wayside.
With both Will and Lucy struggling to adapt, could their previously happy marriage be developing some cracks?'

This book is the perfect book to show you what switching roles is all about. This is the perfect example of a gender role switch up and I loved it. Within in this book you get to see both Lucy and Will's point of view, which gives you a great insight into what they are both really feeling.

You have Will the guy who is usually in for bed time and fun on the weekends and thinks he can be a house husband with ease. Then you have Lucy whose whole world has resolved around her children for a few years, going back to the daily grind. Lucy works on getting her groove back and proves to the reader that you shouldn't under estimate a woman.

Overall this book had some funny moments that make you want to laugh out loud and at the same time it would pull on your emotions. This just added to the story as it made the characters more human, more relatable and more real. You begin to feel like you know Lucy and Will, as you end up invested in seeing where this role swap takes them and whether they can come out the other side unscathed.

Now let's tell you a little bit about the Author Julie Butterfield, who belongs to a large group of authors 'who always wanted to write' and finally found the time to put pen to paper or rather fingers to keyboard. Her first book was written purely for pleasure and she was very surprised to find that many people enjoyed the story and wanted more. So she decided to carry on writing, I personally am grateful for this.

My final thoughts are that I thought this book was absolutely amazing. So much so that I got sucked in at Chapter 23 and didn't stop reading until Chapter 36. I then had to finish the book before I could go to sleep that night. I was sucked in and enjoyed every single moment. I highly recommend you pick up a copy HERE.

As a special addition to this Blog Tour there is also a Giveaway where you could win a paperback copy of this book. You can enter HERE.
