Blog Tour: Losing Control By Rachael Stewart*

'She watched him walk away…

…and now he’s back to claim her!

A family feud forced me to walk away from the woman of my dreams, Alexa—but I didn’t expect her to betray me by falling into my brother’s arms. Now, after a tragic accident, I’ve returned home to find Alexa leading the family business…and the chemistry between us is hotter than ever. The sparks reignite our electrifying connection, but can we learn to trust each other again?'

So this is the story of Alexa and Cain, which is filled with chemistry, strong characters and those oh so delicious sexy scenes.  Their story is told over 14 chapters, a Prologue and an Epilogue. This may seem like a long book but when you are reading it, you will realize its not enough and leave you wanting more.

Alexa is a strong female character who is in a position of power in this book, while Cain is very much an equal when it comes to their position in business. They are both strong characters who know what they want. They do have a past between them and it is slowly revealed to the reader, but how their past will affect their present and possibly their future is something that will keep the reader gripped throughout.

Now I can't talk about this book without mentioning the sexy scenes as I call them. Technically there is not alot of sexy scenes in this book, though the ones that are there are delicious. However the author has managed to add some very hot make out scenes that I believe deserve the title of sexy scenes. These scenes in the book are H-O-T hot, they are the scenes we all love to read but may not admit.

So let me tell you about the Author Rachael Stewart, she adores conjuring up stories for both Mills & Boon and Deep Desires Press. The books vary from heart-warmingly romantic to wildly erotic. Rachael is living her own dream of being a full time writer, even though her degree was in Business Studies and she spent many years in the corporate world. Originally from Wales, Rachael now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children. When she isn't wrapped up in her children, you can find her glued to her laptop or enjoying the great outdoors seeking inspiration.

Overall Rachael has managed to write another stunning book filled with strong characters, a story plot that keeps the reader hooked and the oh so addictive sexy scenes. This book will leave you wanting more and completely addicted after the first chapter. This reader finished the book in one sitting consisting of about 4 hours. I highly recommend this book and this Author to everyone, you won't regret picking up this book. The only down side to becoming a Rachael Stewart Book Lover is you will want to read her entire works. You can get your copy HERE

Blog tour: The Greatest Of Enemies By B.R Maycock*

'Get ready for fireworks as two women with very different personalities become housemates!
Bex has settled in well into the small town of Abbeyglen. Yes, she misses her housemate Holly, but she has plenty to do what with the setup of the new Caulfield’s cafĂ©, her blogging and of course her work in Blackwater Financial Services.
Louise is shocked when she arrives in the town of Abbeyglen to find it has changed, everything looks too new and shiny, and who is this person in Holly’s apartment?!
With Bex’s bff heading for domestic bliss, some unwelcome changes in work, and now the arrival of eternally negative Louise, can Bex remain her usual chirpy self or will handbags at dawn, daytime and night-time too bring out a side to her she never knew existed?
For fans of Sophie Kinsella, Christie Barlow and Rosie Green.

(This is book 2 of a series but can be read on it's own if you are so inclined!) '

This book is comprised of 39 Chapters and an Epilogue and is the second book in the Abbeyglen Series. What's brilliant about all these chapters are they all vary in length. So some chapters may take 5 or more minutes to read while others are the short and sweet. As well as varying chapter lengths the point of view switches between chapters, mainly between Louise and Bex but you will get the odd chapter in someone else's view point.

When it comes to Louise and Bex they could not be more different in both personality and their view points of food. While we were introduced to Bex in the first book, this book still very much gives you a more in-depth introduction meaning you don't have to read the first book to know who Bex is. Louise on the other hand is a bit of a mystery to the reader who is slowly unraveled through out the book. A mystery that will keep the readers reading, wanting to know more about Louise.

This book is easy to get stuck into and by the time the reader hits the double digit chapters they will find themselves, hooked by the story. The main theme of this book is friendship though it may not seem like it. However for all those romance lovers, romance does seem to be a bit of an underlying background theme.

Let me tell you a little bit about the Author B R Maycock (Berni to all of us). When she isn't dreaming isn't dreaming up leads for romantic comedies you can find her ingesting books for her blog, in particular chick lit, romantic comedies and thrillers. You can also find her playing footie or watching Marvel, DC or Star Wars movies and cartoons. Berni lives in Co. Westmeath, Ireland with her brilliantly out there husband Keith and their four epic little men. Her debut  'It started with a Snub' and Christmas romantic comedy 'Snowday' are available now on Amazon. Berni has one goal and that's simply to make readers smile and/ or laugh.

Overall this is a great addition to the series and will leave the reader eagerly anticipating the third installment. As with the previous book you do get a bit of a heads up about who the next book is centering around. This is brilliant if you fall in love with this series like this reader has. You can get your copy HERE.

Blog Tour: The Friendship List by Susan Mallery*

'One Summer can change your life…

As a single mum, Ellen Fox missed out on a lot, but she wouldn’t change a thing. Then she overhears her son saying he can’t leave home to go to college because she needs him too much. If she wants him to live his best life, she has to convince him she’s living hers.

To help, Ellen’s best friend Unity creates a list of challenges to push Ellen out of her comfort zone. Unity will complete the list, too. Only to support her friend, not because she needs to change. She’s a perfectly fine thirty four year old widow, who socialises at an old people’s home!

For both women, The Friendship List begins as a way to make others believe they’re doing just fine. But somewhere between ‘wear a bikini in public’ and ‘have sex with a gorgeous guy’, Ellen and Unity discover that life is meant to be lived with joy and abandon, and filled with humour, heartache and perhaps the odd regrettable tattoo!'

This is not the first book I have read by Susan Mallery and it will not be the last. In the past I have read her Buchanans Series as well as the Bakery Sisters Series, both I would highly recommend. So when I was asked if I wanted to participate in a Blog Tour for her latest book, I jumped at the chance.

This book consists of 27 Chapters (+ an Epilogue) and tells the story of Ellen and Unity. They are both on a journey, for different reasons but also have their similarities. They are the kind of best friends that we all want our friendships to be like. There for each other no matter what, and really can't stand it when you have an argument.

The main theme of this book is friendship as well as a personal journey that the characters embark on. However there is an underlying theme of romance which brings an extra something to an already amazing book. Throughout the book the point of view switches between the main characters, giving the reader an insight into their personal journeys and the things they are fighting to change. During these periods the readers get to see how Single Mum Ellen and best friend Unity personally handle the challenges that can crop up.

This book will leave the reader wanting to write their own list or simply give them courage and drive to fulfill their bucket list. Whether the list is made or still needs to be written, this book will give you the courage to make the changes or simply step out of your comfort zone.

The book is well written and the character interactions are brilliant. This book is the prime example of a feel good read, that the reader can easily do in one sitting if they choose. The book will leave the reader wanting more from the author and checking out other books they have written.

Overall this is the type of book where the reader quickly falls in love after the first chapter. The kind of book that brings on an internal debate because you want to read and finish this book because it is so good. However at the same time you want the book to last forever. You can see what I mean and get your hands on a copy HERE.

Blog Tour: Life Lessons By J.E. Rowney*

'Life Lessons is a new adult chick-lit medical drama, with splashes of clean romance.
Expect an unputdownable emotional page-turner that will take you deep into the life lessons of a student midwife.
'Violet wants to be a midwife, but she has struggled with anxiety throughout her teenage years. With her best friend Zoe at her side, she gets a place at University and starts training for her dream job.Can she overcome her fears and find the self-confidence to make it through her first year?

Will Zoe's romance with their housemate spell dating disaster?'

So this is the first book in the Lessons of a student midwife series, and based on this book alone, this reader will be buying the rest of the series. Now I am going to be honest and say this is the first medical book I have read in this style, previously I would read the Mills & Boon Medical but they are completely different. Based on my experience with this book I now know I need more of these in my life.

The book follows best friends Violet and Zoe, though only Violet is the student midwife. It follows violet through her first year as a student midwife and is interesting from beginning to end. The book shows both the highs and lows of student life as well as being on placement. It gives the reader an inside look that has before been only available to students in that field.

The book is split up into 31 Chapters, each one a good length and helping the time move on. However the Author moves the time on in a way where it doesn't feel like the reader is missing anything on this journey. The book provides an interesting look at the journey that a student midwife goes on. It provides an interesting insight for the reader and they will find themselves invested in Violet and rooting for her successes.

Let me tell you a little bit more about the Author J.E.Rowney. She spent several years in the cold Yorkshire hills, which adds the flavour of the Moorland countryside into her work. She currently lives in Dorset, where the sun and sea are slowly creeping in as influences. Her first novel 'Charcoal' was published in 2012, to wild critical acclaim becoming a bestselling novel across the whole of Amazon within days of its release. Ms Rowney was recently awarded the Dinesh Allirajah Writing Prize 202 and her third novel 'Ghosted' was released in January 2020 and quickly becoming a bestseller. Ms Rowney spends a lot of her time writing in coffee shops, so if you happen to see her don't forget to say hello. Ms Rowney says ' I always dreamed of being a writer, until I realised that I was. Then I started to write'.  You can find more about JE Rowney on her website jerowney.com or follow @jerowneywriter on social media.

Overall this book is easy to get stuck into, and as a reader you will soon find yourself flying through the chapters. It is a well written book and will leave the reader wanting more. Not only more from the Author but also wanting to continue following Violet's journey in her quest to become a midwife. You can get your copy of this book HERE.

Blog Tour: Wife Support System By Kathleen Whyman*

'We’ve got the balance all wrong. Instead of living with our partners, struggling to do everything by ourselves and only seeing each other now and then, we should do it the other way round. We should live together and see them now and then.
Erica knows her suggestion sounds extreme, but when her nanny leaves without notice, she’s extremely desperate. Polly and Louise aren’t convinced, but when circumstances force them to move into Polly’s enormous but run-down house, they have to admit life’s much easier when the childcare and work is shared.
At first, communal living seems like the answer to their prayers - childcare on tap, rotas for cleaning and someone always available to cook dinner (no more last-minute pizza delivery!). But over time, resentment starts to grow as they judge each other’s parenting styles and bicker over cleaning, cooking and whose turn it is to buy toilet rolls.
And as one woman has her head turned by a handsome colleague, one resorts to spying on her husband and another fights to keep a dark secret, they need each other more than ever. But can Polly, Louise and Erica keep their friendship and relationships strong? Or will their perfect mumtopia fall apart?'

With 47 Chapters as well as an Epilogue this is a long book, but it will seem short when you read it. That will mainly be because it is so easy to get stuck into this book and invested in the lives of Polly, Erica and Louise. The further you read into this book the more twists and turns appear, which just makes this even more of an interesting book to read.

Throughout the book the point of view switches from chapter to chapter and is shared between our three leading ladies. Ladies who could not be more different from each other, from the way they dress to they way they raise their children. However no matter how different they are, they just make sense when it comes to their friends.

There is a slight air of mystery when it comes to the background of one of these ladies, which just makes the reader want to read on and uncover this mystery. As you go through the book you will also discover a bit of will they/ won't they which simply adds even more interest to this book.

Although the ending was different than this reader expected, it also turned out to be better than what I expected. The book has its funny moments, its relatable moments as well as emotional moments (at least for the reader). All things that simply make the reader fall in love with this book.

Let me tell you a little bit about the Author Kathleen Whyman. She is a writer for the Writers' Forum as well as a member or the Romantic Novelists' Association. Kathleen's second book was recently long listed for the Comedy Women in Print Unpublished Comedy Novel Prize.

Overall this book is well written and I am so glad I took a chance and signed up for this blog tour. This book will get your emotions involved especially when it comes to the relatable moments. Now although this book was my first by this author it certainly won't be my last. You can get your copy of this book HERE.

Blog Tour: You May Kiss The Bridesmaid By Camilla Isley*

'Archibald Hill is handsome, single, and he’s going to his best friend’s wedding ready to make a conquest or two. After all, everyone knows weddings are the perfect setting to get lucky.

Summer Knowles used to have a life—friends, family, a sister who’d do anything for her—until she blew it all away with a terrible mistake. Now, attending her twin’s wedding as the party’s undesirable number one seems like more than she can handle. So, when a tall stranger with smoldering ice-blue eyes offers her a therapy of seven nights of no-strings-attached fun, she might even ignore that he has a beard and accept.

Problem is, Summer has never been good at keeping sex and feelings separated'

This is the sixth book in the First Comes Love Series, and although it is part of a series you do not have to read the other five books to read this one. Though you may end up getting the other five by the time you finish this one. The thing that connects the books are the characters, however you do get told a bit about their back story so the reader is not left in the dark if this is the first book they are reading.

The characters for this book are Archie and Summer, two people who view relationships in two very different ways. This act just adds to the story especially as the past has a part to play in this story. Now Archie and Summer have some incredible chemistry, not to mention the sexual tension that lives between these two.

Now this book isn't just full of sexual tension there are also some laugh out loud giggling moments, that the reader will simply adore. The reader will also love the character development that Archie and Summer go through, when dealing with the past, the present and their future whether apart or together. All of these elements means that the book is easy to become addicted too and will have the reader wanting to finish it but at the same time wanting the story to continue.

Let's tell you a little bit about the Author Camilla Isley who is an engineer turned writer, who quit her job to follow her husband on an adventure abroad. She is a cat lover, coffee addict and shoe hoarder. Beside writing, she loves reading (duh), cooking, watching bad TV and going to movies - popcorn please. She is a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. Camilla is a keen traveller who knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and doesn't want to starve all those frog princes but could really live without them.

Overall this book is amazing and one readers will fall in love with. Between the character development and the chemistry there is no way a reader will not finish this book and not want more. More from the Author and definitely more of the series. You can get your copy of this book HERE

There is also a giveaway attached to this blog tour where you can have the chance to win 3x ecopies of the boxset of the first three books in the series -First Comes Love. Blog Tour: As Luck Would Have It By Zoe May*

'Natalie Jackson might keep up appearances on Instagram, but in reality her fiancĂ© has just jilted her after the birth of their baby and she’s moved back in with her mum. Life isn’t exactly going to plan!

So when she enters the village raffle for the holiday of a lifetime, she thinks she has no chance of winning. But her name is pulled out – and, as luck would have it, so is a ticket bought by her childhood nemesis: Will Brimble.

Surely a romantic holiday for two is the worst idea ever…right?'

So the story of Natasha Jackson and Will Brimble is interesting and certainly starts with giving the reader the back story along side the present day. Allowing the reader to find out how our characters got to this place in their life.

This story has its own share of Laugh out loud moments, that will delight the reader especially as the moments that make you laugh are so relatable. From the moment Natasha and Will meet there is instant chemistry even though it is hidden behind another emotion. These characters have a past that is hinted at and revealed to the reader.

Now the destination for this story is absolutely a paradise. The descriptions the author uses are nothing shy of dreamy and will make the reader want to go book a flight and experience it for themselves. Alongside the amazing descriptions this story is really easy to get stuck into, the reader soon finds themselves adsorbed in the story and wanting to know what will happen next.

Now let me tell you a little bit about the Author Zoe May, who lives in southeast London writing romantic comedies. Since she was a teenager she dreamt of being a novelist. Before her debut novel (Perfect Match) came out, Zoe worked in journalism and copywriting. Zoe chose to write a novel about dating, after experiencing the London dating scene first hand and seeing its endless supply of weird and wonderful material. When she isn't writing you can find Zoe walking her dog, painting and reading. She adores animals, meaning that if she isn't taking a picture of a vegan meal you can find her tweeting about the dairy industry. Zoe is half Greek/ half Irish and can whip up a mean baklava. After spending several years working as a fashion copywriter, Zoe has an encyclopedia knowledge of handbags to the point that she could win Mastermind if it was her specialist subject. Zoe also has a thing for India, swimming, horror films, hip hop and Radiohead.

Overall I absolutely adored this book as well as the ending. The book is well written and a dream to read. With its dreamy descriptions as well as the interactions between Natasha and Will, this book is easy to fall in love with. This book will leave you wanting more from the author and anticipating the release of her next book. The best thing is this book is available now, and you can get your copy of this book HERE.
