UNEXPECTED BABY!
In this One Year to Wed story, returning to her family’s Outback homestead, Eve feels like a fish out of water. She’s only in town to contest the ridiculous terms of her inheritance. Get married? As if! Finding a distraction in the arms of gorgeous stranger Nate is one thing. Discovering he’s the lawyer enforcing her father’s will is another… And the biggest bombshell of all is that their one night has had consequences!'
This is the second book in a brand new series called 'A Year to Wed' which is about four sisters in Australia's outback who have a year to get married in order to keep their father's land in their family. Though that is the simplified version. This series is a collaboration between Ally Blake, Rachael Stewart, Kandy Shephard and Michelle Douglas. This review however is all about Rachael Stewarts book, which is book number 2 in the series.
This book focuses on Evelyn or Eve, who has been estranged from her sisters in Australia for over 10 years. Eve's book is made up of 12 Chapters as well as a prologue and epilogue. Eve is an independent career woman who believes love and relationship longevity don't exist. Eve has been living in England but is heading back to Australia to help her sisters try and get out of the condition in their fathers will.
In comes our male lead Nate, who couldn't be more different. Nate is a lawyer from Sydney who always wanted to settle down in his home town. He is also tatted, rides a motorcycle and completely gorgeous, with that combination was Eve really suppose to resist him?
The moment these two meet they instantly have chemistry, but end up going separate ways due to their opposite views on relationships. But as fate would have it they would not be separate for long.
Now these two main characters may have grown up in the same small town and both dealing with different family issues, but that is very much where the similarities end. Throughout this story in Nate's point of view readers will see how this man falls for Eve more and more after every interaction. They will also see how Eve is really trying her best not to fall for this man.
Now Eve is not the only sister we meet in this book. You also meet Rose (the eldest) as well as Matilda and Ana. Now I have to be honest Rose is the only sister who shows up in the majority of this story but that is because the whole story is set at the family home.
Overall I really enjoyed this story and watching as Eve and Nate fell for each other and how they dealt with the unexpected pregnancy. Although this book is the second book in this series, rest assured you do not need to read the series in order to read this book. However I personally will be buying books 1,3 and 4 because I need to know how those stories play out. You can get your copy of this book HERE
Until Next Time
