Review: Tempting The Enemy by J.C. Harroway*

'Why sleep with the enemy

when you can seduce him?

My plan was to convince ultra-gorgeous Manhattan billionaire Sterling Lombard to sell his shares in my family's company. Instead, I seduced him out of his $10,000 suit. Now the ruthlessly sexy businessman is playing a wicked game where lust and hate collide—both at work and between the sheets. But if tempting Sterling Lombard is playing with fire, falling for him might be an explosive disaster…'

This is the second story in the Billionaire Bedmates series and is all about Sterling and Ava, which is told over the course of 13 Chapters (+Epilogue). We first met Sterling in JC Harroway's previous book 'Bound to You', you can find my review Here

I can sum up this book in four words addictive, completely captivating and Steamy. From the moment the reader starts this book they will be unable to put this book down or even get it out of their mind. This book completely took me over to the point that if I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it. I didn't want the book to stop or to stop reading it. I hated the thought at putting this book down.

This book takes the steamy scenes to a new level. Not only do Ava and Sterling have verbal foreplay that builds anticipation for the sexy scenes but the sexy or steamy scenes (depending on what you call them) are a cut above what I have read previously. It's like the author decided to outdo herself with this book.

Ava is all about family ties and keeping her family close. However Sterling is the opposite, he is the complete opposite. He does not want family ties, at least not to all his family.

This book ties nicely into the first in the series. It gives the reader just enough information to make them interested in book one. The author gives you enough of a taste that it will make the reader want to read the first one or re read it in my case. Although the books happen at the same time I would highly recommend reading them in order.

Overall I loved this book so much and can't wait until JC's next release. I have never read a book by her that I haven't completely adored. In fact it is really hard not to enjoy books by this author. You can get your copy HERE

Blog Tour: Italy Ever After by Leonie Mack*

'TV journalist Lou feels battered and bruised after her divorce from Phil, the father of her daughter Edie. Her confidence and sense of fun have steadily been drained away, and she isn’t sure who she is any more.
When the opportunity arises to accompany Edie on a music camp in Italy for a month in the summer, Lou jumps at the chance for new adventures, new horizons and new friends. The hazy warmth of the summer sun, shining brightly over the stunning Lake Garda, slowly brings Lou back to life.
Nick Romano, Edie’s music teacher, loves being home in Italy, but coaching his students for their concert in Milan, is bringing back difficult memories. His blossoming friendship with Lou is the perfect distraction, although a summer fling would be easier to conduct without the scrutiny of his mother Greta, not to mention the interference of his extended Italian family.
As the summer passes, full of sunshine and breath-taking scenery, gelato and delicious feasts, Lou and Nick get ever closer. But as the time for farewell creeps up on them, will they be able to say goodbye and leave their memories behind in the Italian sun, or can a summer romance last a lifetime?'

This is the story of Lou and Nick, which is told over the course of 26 Chapters (+Epilogue). This story is intriguing from the start, the author really knows what to write in order to get the reader hooked. This opening is brilliant in the aspect that it gives the reader just enough information to keep them reading.

The descriptions of the locations given throughout this book are really top notch to the point that readers are able to visualize the scenery.  The descriptions make the reader feel like they could be at these locations.

Readers be warned, this book gets emotional. Lou is on a journey following her divorce to get her life back. This journey is filled with twist and turns. Nick is also on his own journey, to face his past in Milan. Where these journey's cross is what the reader finds out.

Let me tell you about the Author Leonie Mack, who is a debut romantic novelist. She has lived in London for many years, though nowadays her home is in Germany with her husband and three children. Leonie loves medieval towns, train travel, hiking and happy endings.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was emotional for me, but I loved every minute. Although the book took me a hot minute to get addicted, it still kept me reading. You can get your copy HERE.

Blog tour: Life's a Beach by Portia MacIntosh*

'Sun, sea and inescapable exes..
Peach is excited to hear that her sister, Di, is getting married. Of course, she would have preferred her little sister to be engaged to someone she's known longer than a week - and the fact that his name is Charles doesn't bode well - but who is she to judge?! Afterall, her own love life is non-existent, and who doesn't love a destination wedding...?
Whisked away to the gorgeous Italian coast, Peach assumes her role as chief bridesmaid and, despite her reservations about the groom, she tries to ensure everything goes to plan.
But weddings are never straightforward affairs... throw in some unexpected guests in the form of ex-boyfriends and one night stands, and soon enough there is more drama than a reality tv show.
Can Peach keep the show on the road, or might she end up in a whirlwind romance of her own...?'

This is the story of Peach and is told over 38 Chapters. The story is intriguing from the start and really gives the reader a chance to know the main character. Peach goes through a lot of feelings and situations through this book. All of these situations make for an interesting read.

Twists are found throughout this book which peaks the readers interested and really keeps them invested in the book. The descriptions used throughout the book of both people and places are top notch. They are brilliant enough that readers will be able visualize the places. There is one description at the beginning of this book that I absolutely adore, it is about a gentleman and Zac Efron is mentioned.

Now let me tell you a little bit more about the Author Portia MacIntosh, who is a bestselling romantic comedy author of 12 novels. This list includes titles such as It's Not You, It's Them and Honeymoon For One. Portia was previously a music journalist, she writes hilarious stories, drawing on her own real life experiences.

Overall this book is completely addictive and readers will love this story. However readers be warned this book will leave the reader wanting more from this author. I myself will be heading to amazon to check out some of Portia's other works. You can get your copy HERE.
