Firstly let me start off by saying that I am sorry if you find any errors in this post, this is because I didn't manage to get it to my editor. Ok so let me just say welcome to Film Friday. This will take place every other week instead of me posting a blog/review.
So lets jump in and talk about this weeks film which is Rise of the Guardians. Now I picked this film as it has recently been on Sky anytime and I have watched it three times. May not sound bad but you don't know one of my reasons, which I will get into later.
The story centres on fear and believe and centres around all those childhood icons which near enough everyone use to believe in. It stars Santa, the Easter Bunny, Mr Sandman, the Tooth fairy, Jack Frost and Pitch Black also known as the bogey man. Though it reminded me of my childhood I didn't quite picture those icons as they appear in the film but it is still a great film.
Ok so the story goes like this, Pitch the evil spirit has set an assault on Earth, it is up to the immortal guardians to save Earth and protect the children. Now I don't want to give anything away because I want all you guys to go watch it. This film has even been guy approved and by that I mean I watched it with my Dad and Brother and they both liked it.
Now the stars who voice these animated character's from our childhood are well known. They include Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher and Chris Pine. The film itself is only 1 hour and 37 minutes long, so not lengthy and not too short. But I can guarantee this, after seeing it once you may be inclined to watch it again.
Now I mentioned earlier that one of the reasons for me watching this film three times is not very common. Well I am going to let all of you guys know why now, it's the guy in the photo above. Yes I will admit that Jack Frost is one of the cutest animated character's I have seen. There my secret is out but I'm not ashamed.
Anyway I seriously think all of my lovely readers should go and check out this film. Let me know in the comments down below or on Twitter or instagram if there are any films you want me to review/ mention in my next Film Friday.
